Our family of four had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff is fantastic - Carlos went above and beyond to ensure our family had a great vacation. Our kids had a great time at the kids' club, and the food and amenities were fantastic. We hope to return someday soon!

Such a nice place. Service a touch slow at restaurants. You can try Marival Emotions for activities/food but you will want to quickly return to Distinct, as there is a vast difference in the quality of the 2 locations. We learned that Mid-march is also a busier time due to spring break.

Warning! Immediately upon arrival you are taken to another room and given a sales pitch to set up a meeting to learn more about buying a time share. After 7 hours of travel that is the last thing I wanted to deal with but that alone is not why this became the vacation from hell. The first night my boyfriend and I share tapas at the rooftop restaurant. That night we woke at 3am with the worst food poisoning we ever had in our lives. In the morning we called the front desk and asked if there was a nurse or a doctor we can visit on the property. They say yes for $80 USD. While I thought it was unfair given our sickness was a result of their restaurant, we said yes and they told us they were going to send them up to our room. Once the nurse came she told us that her visit was actually $100 because of the time of day (around 7am) and that she came up to our room. They never gave us an option to go down to her. Ultimately the price does not matter, its just an example of how they looked for opportunities to charge us for things, even through we were certainly losing money being at an all inclusive that we couldn't eat or drink at, not to mention enjoy much of the facilities in our state of sickness. We booked this location because of the great food reviews but the resort never took responsibility for our sickness. One last frustration, we made spa appointments with the front desk weeks before our trip, but once we got to the spa those appointments were not in their system.

We had a wonderful experience. The entire facility was very clean. There is plenty of staff to attend to any needs. Probably best was the quality of the food at all of the dining facilities. Super friendly staff A plus

Wish we had stayed at emotions. Had to take a shuttle between both resorts. Distinct has no buffet except a super lame breakfast. You cannot reserve for dinner, so you just have to wait. It was very difficult with children who need to eat and can’t wait. There was often a long wait to get a table and a very long time to get food. This could’ve been a avoided with even just one buffet. There was Only 3 restaurants to choose from and they weren’t great. There was zero entertainment at the resort. Anything fun was at the other resort and it was mostly a headache trying to cart all the kids over there in the shuttle. Customer service wasn’t great. Everything was bare minimum without a smile. I felt like we paid a premium to stay there and we got less. The pools were more quiet. Quite far from the beach. Emotions beach is right infront. Distinct you need to walk about 10 minsIn all I was pretty disappointed but I still enjoyed my trip.

This place was amazing, food was incredible, can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, really peaceful. Only cons were, we wanted to be with a younger crowd but we were able to go to Marival emotions to make party and there wasn’t a coffee shop that was included in the all inclusive package. Overall beautiful experience

Everyone at the resort from the bellhop, room service to the bartenders, chefs, Captain at the restaurant were absolutely amazing,

Quiet,not too big

This place is absolutely amazing! It was a family trip with different age groups and we all loved it. It is quiet and with the right amenities. The view from Insu restaurant is breathtaking!!!The service of concierge is not the greatest and they don't go out of their way to help you. On the other hand, pool staff were AMAZING! Octavio (I believe that's his name) from Mozamare was very attentive and by far provided the BEST service.I will definitely be back very SOON!!!

This hotel is a solid 3 starts. Definitely not a five star hotel. The service is slow, even for Mexico and the food is subpar. Spa is not worth the time or the money, I would not recommend it. This hotel is not the best place to stay if you are traveling with children.

Rooms are very nice. We stayed in two 1 bd/2 bath units. In both rooms mold was found in shower area. We were able to get another rooms, but it took time off from our stayMeal time takes to long, but meal choices are really good.

Rooms are huge and super comfortable. Food was actually delicious, unlike most resorts - no buffet, all a la carte (and the new year's eve spread was incredible). You can also eat at the neighboring Marival resort, which has the more standard buffet setup. The area is all resorts, and not much to see, but nearby Puerto Vallarta is fantastic (about a 40-min/$25 taxi).

Great food, quiet, staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The beach is phenomenal.

Resort was a very clean and well maintained. It was of the perfect size for us as we like to avoid crowded resorts. The food choice was average. The food was good at Insu and Omaggio. Mozza Mare did not meet the standards of a 5 star resort (food quality service). We did not have food at the Lemon Grass. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room Service was great. We upgraded to a 4 bedroom apartment on the 5th floor which was 2700 sq ft of luxurious space. The sunset views were awesome.

This place was unreal. Worth every penny. The food is fabulous, the service is really nice. They say that it is not beachfront but the walk is very short and on a private walk way. I consider beach front.If you do not have transportation from the airport do not arrange with concierge its much better to grab a cab. Save service but 1/4 the price of the pre arranged.

Service was extremely slow. Food was not properly cook. I ordered calamari and it came out cold and soggy. My husband ordered wings and it was still cold in the middle.

This hotel was a true 5*, quiet, good food by menu not buffet- very enjoyable would go back. No room upgrade for VIP member which is unfortunately common.

We haven’t been here in a few years. Definitely noticed turnover with some of the staff since the last time we were there. Assume the pandemic has something to do with that. Overall another very pleasant stay. The food and drinks are very good for a Mexican resort. The service is very good. Some of the infrastructure is starting to show its age in places. Along the pool, some of the walls, some of the fixtures etc. For example, one of the “his and hers” sink faucets was so loose that it was barely noticeable. Could likely handle some minor renovations to get the property fully sparkling again. Special thanks to our favourite bartender Hamid. So personable and makes you feel so welcomed when sitting at his bar. Wonderful man. Great service and fantastic cocktails! Can’t wait to come back soon!

We have been to this resort several times and this time something was off beginning with service. It was not the upscale service it was before ranging from oblivious to snobby. Some of the older more experienced wait staff were friendly and remembered me from previous visits. Others were too aggressive for tips and uncomfortably candid about their personal lives. Then there were the very pesky and pushy timeshare sales people dressed in same attire as wait staff - confusing. Attended the time share/marival club presentation and received nothing in return.Also, pool restaurant served spoiled seafood tostada and got very sick for 2 days. Upon complaint, concierge staff only offered delivery service from local pharmacy similar to door dash service. It was not complimentary and it was barely useful. There was no attempt to make things right by hotel. I used to recommend this property to clients and friends but will definitely hesitate to do so in future.

We had a great stay. We had 3 kids with us including a 1 year old and loved the nanny service (Maria from the playzone is awesome), and the flexibility at the restaurants to serve fries, nuggets etc for the kids. The quality of the food was truly impressive and the rooms are spacious and gorgeous. There are some incredibly helpful staff like the concierge, Lamberto at the pool, and some housekeepers. We also loved the rooftop infinity pool in our unit. We did not like the strict restrictions on taking food to your room, and the wifi quality and policy was disappointing (2 device limit). For how expensive this place is, they nickle and dime you still and that’s annoying. With that said, we had a fantastic vacation and will likely return.

This resort was advertised as adult only. It was not. When we arrived, we were given a room with no hot water or functioning door key. We had to wait for security to come open the door. The next day, they changed our room.The food was delicious. However, it does take a very long time. Dinner averaged 2.5 hours. Room service in the am 90 minutes.While most staff speak a bit of English, it was super helpful to have a Spanish speaker.Finally, the gym. It is a sauna in there. The ac units put out little cold air. No fans, the Tredmills need updating.One of the concierge was rude to us.The spa was mediocre.A nice resort and experience but not a 5 star resort.

We were a family of 9 which included 4 children 7 and under. We loved the pools and access to the ocean. Our only complaint was that restaurants did no open til 6:30, which was late for kids. One restarant should open by 5:30. Food was great and accomodations well kept and great for families. This was our second visit.

The best!

We just stayed for 8 days at the Distinct property. The restaurants were really good and the service was always top notch. It wasn’t super busy or overcrowded at all. The resort is very quiet at night, there’s a nice fire we hung out by. The pool was great and there’s a nice area for little kids. The beach was one in a million and the location was really great! If you’re looking for a resort with alot going on, this isn’t the place to stay. However, we were able to enjoy the sister resort for some entertainment and that filled our needs as well. We even used the nanny service and Erica was extremely helpful and sweet. We really liked how loving she was towards our son. Thanks for everything! We will come back!

This is a beautiful resort. The staff were fantastic, as was the food in the different restaurants. Highly recommended!

It was a great stay overall. Everyone was so friendly and the accommodations were spectacular. The only drawback was that they try to get you to engage in a new hotel presentation and time share when you check in and will not take no for an answer.
